13/16, quarter hollow, barber’s notch.
In my opinion, this is a truly special razor. She has the eagle etch plus pressed horn Fenny scales, a combination I have never seen before. On top of that, there is what I believe to be a beautiful patina on the entire blade. There are some darker marks where the razor touches the scales, but I went with the vintage look during the cleaning and left that to preserve the etch and patina.
The scales have some bites out of the front and a surface crack (doesn’t go all the way through the scale, so nothing to worry about if properly treated) at the back pivot. I applied neatsfoot oil to rehydrate the scales, but did not sand or buff them at all. You could, if you want, to make them shine a bit more, but I think they are beautiful as is.
I honed without tape, because the hone wear was evident, so I thought using tape would make the razor look worse.
The pivot is a touch loose, and the scales have the slightest bow outwards. But the razor snugs up nicely in the shaving position and centers on her own without any wobble at all.
This razor is shave ready.
