5/8, full hollow, square point.

There is staining on the blade, but no pitting. Just about all the gold wash is gone, but some remains right near the pivot.

The pivot is snug, the blade stands open, and she centers into straight scales.

All in all, she’s a great American workhorse from a great American brand.

13/16, full hollow, round point, jimps bottom, gold nose and etch.

This is a big, beautiful razor out of Solingen. Goldwashed airplane logo on the front of the blade and a goldwashed nose (if you look at the blade end on) as well. Some of the gold is coming off the nose.

There are a few small spots of staining, but other than that she’s nearly perfect.

Hone wear is light and even, and she took a very smooth edge.

The pivot is a bit loose with some wobble, but I can tighten that up upon request. The razor does snug at 180 degrees and remains snug for the shave. Scales are a nice, deep blue, and they are straight.

This watch has been lightly worn, but there are no marks on the crystal or case that I can see. The strap has been lightly worn and has a bit of a crease that I tried to show in the photos.

5/8, full hollow, square point, some black on tang, red model number.

There is some pitting on this razor, but no staining.  Some of the black on the tang has rubbed off, but most remains and the red in the model number is fully in tact and stands out nicely.

The scales are a swirled yellow with bolsters, which gives the razor a nice flair.  There is a slight wobble when closed, so she needs to be guided, but the pivot snugs up at 90 degrees and remains snug enough for the blade to stand open thereafter.  Scales are straight.

This razor is shave ready.

5/8, quarter hollow, dreadnought point.

The blade has a satinish finish with some small pits and spots of staining remaining.  A quarter hollow, which is unusual for a Boker, with that distinctive dreadnought point.  There is staining on the tang, and some minor pitting as well.  Plenty of steel to work with if you wanted to make her like new, but still a beautiful and fully functional razor as is.

There is a washer missing at the pivot, so it is loose and there is some wobble.  The scales are straight and in great shape.

This razor is shave ready.

4/8, 3/4 hollow (between half and full hollow), square point, stylized nose.

This razor is unusually small for a Wosty Pipe, but delivers the first class shave you’d expect.  Minimal staining on the blade, with just a bit at the pivot and on the tail.

The pivot is snug, the blade stands open, and she centers into straight scales.

9/16, full hollow, square point, jimps top and bottom.

I’m not sure who made her, but she’s stamped Germany on the tail and definitely shaves like a quality, vintage razor.  Some staining on the blade, but it’s all cosmetic and none interferes with the edge.

Pivot is snug, the blade stands open, and she centers into straight scales.

7/8, quarter hollow, rounded notched point, dyed blonde horn scales.

This is a big chunk of Sheffield steel. There is staining on both sides of the blade, but no pitting. Plenty of metal to work with if you intend to have her restored.

She is in one of the most beautiful sets of dyed blonde horn that I have seen – they are smooth and the color is vibrant. No delamination or bug bites.

The pivot is rather snug, though the blade won’t stand open on her own. She closes towards the back scale, but does not need to be guided shut, and the edge does not rest on the scale.

This razor is shave ready. And this is one of the hard Reynolds, so she should hold that edge for quite some time.

11/16, full hollow, round point, etched blade.

The staining is a pity, because there is next to no hone wear and this is an interesting model razor. Cleanup will almost certainly leave behind pitting, and I’m not sure if you could do a full resto and save the etch. But, on the upside, the etch is still very clear, even with the pitting.

5/8, full hollow, rounded square point, jimps bottom, black hammered tang, frosted/etched blade.

This blade has never been honed and never been shaved with. Aside from a few small spots, she’s perfect.
